With a red LED light source, it offers reliable illumination for sensing. The sensor has a wide operating range, capable of detecting white objects (90% reflectivity) from 0.01 - 0.8 m, gray objects (18% reflectivity) from 0.02 - 0.6 m, and black objects (6% reflectivity) from 0.03 - 0.4 m. This wide range and the ability to detect different - colored objects make it suitable for diverse industrial scenarios, such as sorting products based on color or detecting the presence of items on a conveyor belt.​
