The bare conductor: AC/S/S, AA/C, AA/AC, ACS/R, AA/CSR, AC/AR and
Galvanized steel wire, are used in overheadelectrical power
transmission and distribution lines with various grade voltage.
Construction: Bare aluminum alloy 1350-h19 wires, concentrically
stranded around a Class A galvanized coated steel core wire. AC/S/R
consists of a galvanized steel core of 1 wire, 7 wires, 19 wires
etc. surrounded by concentric layers of aluminum wire.
Conductor: Concentric stranded hard drawn aluminum wire
Steel Core: Galvanized steel (Zinc coated) wire, solid or
concentric stranded

Features:
ACSR combines a high-carbon steel core for structural integrity
with concentric layers of aluminum strands for conductivity. This
hybrid design balances mechanical robustness (up to 1600 MPa
tensile strength) and electrical efficiency (conductivity up to 61%
IACS), outperforming all-aluminum or all-steel alternatives.
Engineered for thermal stability, ACSR operates seamlessly in
temperatures ranging from -40°C to 120°C, making it ideal for
Arctic installations, desert grids, and tropical regions. Its low
thermal expansion coefficient minimizes sag during temperature
spikes.
Applications:
The bare conductor AAC, AAAC, ACSR, ACAR, and Galvanized steel wire
are used in overhead electrical transmission line and distribution
with various voltage level.
Used as bare overhead transmission and as primary and secondary
distribution cable. ACSR/AS offers optimal strength for line
design. Along with slightly greater ampacity and resistance to
corrosion due to the aluminum cladding of the steel core wires.
