Product Description:
Horizontal spiral unloading sedimentation centrifuge is a crucial
fine separation equipment in the solid control system of oilfield
drilling. It is mainly used to separate fine solid particles in
drilling fluid. The separation particle size can be as low as about
2 microns. It plays an irreplaceable role in maintaining the
stability of drilling fluid performance, improving the reuse rate
of drilling fluid and reducing drilling costs. Through continuous
operation, this equipment realizes efficient solid-liquid
separation of drilling fluid, providing a strong guarantee for the
smooth progress of the entire drilling operation.

Working principle:
The horizontal spiral unloading sedimentation centrifuge produced
and sold by our company Huichi petro works based on the principle
of centrifugal sedimentation. When the equipment is running, the
drilling fluid is transported to the inside of the drum through the
feed pipe. The drum generates a strong centrifugal force during
high-speed rotation, which is usually hundreds or even thousands of
times the gravity. Under such a strong centrifugal force, the solid
particles in the drilling fluid quickly settle to the inner wall of
the drum due to their greater density than the liquid phase,
forming a sediment layer; while the liquid phase forms a clarified
liquid layer in the center area of the drum. At the same time,
the screw conveyor, which rotates in the same direction as the drum
but with a slightly different speed, continuously pushes the
sediment settled on the inner wall of the drum to the discharge
port at the small end of the drum for discharge, while the
clarified liquid phase flows out from the overflow port at the
large end of the drum, thus achieving solid-liquid separation of
the drilling fluid.

Product structure:
- Drum: It is the core component of the centrifuge and is made of
high-strength alloy steel with good wear resistance and corrosion
resistance. The shape of the drum is conical-cylindrical. The
conical part is used to further squeeze the dehydrated sediment,
and the cylindrical part provides sufficient sedimentation space
for solid-liquid separation.
- Screw conveyor: It is installed inside the drum and arranged coaxially with the
drum. The speed difference with the drum is achieved through the
differential. The shape and size of the spiral blades are carefully
designed to efficiently transport the sediment and prevent sediment
blockage.
- Differential: It is used to adjust the speed difference between the drum and the
screw conveyor to ensure that the screw conveyor can discharge the
sediment at a suitable speed. The performance of the differential
directly affects the separation effect and processing capacity of
the centrifuge.
- Drive system: It is composed of motor, pulley, coupling, etc., which provides
rotational power for the drum and screw conveyor to ensure the
stable operation of the equipment.
- Feed system: It includes feed pipe, feed pump, etc., which evenly transports
the drilling fluid to the inside of the drum. The stability and
uniformity of the feed have an important influence on the
separation effect.
- Slag discharge and overflow system: The slag discharge port is located at the small end of the drum,
which is used to discharge the solid sediment after separation; the
overflow port is located at the large end of the drum, which is
used to discharge the clarified liquid phase.
