Precisely control the amount of fuel injection: The intake pressure sensor can detect the pressure changes in the intake manifold and convert it into an electrical signal to the engine control unit (ECU). The ECU calculates the air flow based on these signals and then accurately controls the amount of fuel injection. When the engine load increases, such as when the vehicle accelerates or climbs, the pressure in the intake manifold decreases, the sensor output signal increases, and the ECU increases the amount of fuel injection to ensure that the engine has enough power; conversely, when the engine load decreases, the sensor output signal decreases, and the ECU reduces the amount of fuel injection to avoid fuel waste.

Precisely adjust the ignition timing: The sensor can detect the engine load condition and feed it back to the ECU to adjust the ignition timing. When the engine load increases, the pressure in the intake manifold decreases, the sensor output signal decreases, and the ECU will delay the ignition advance angle to make the combustion process closer to the ideal state; when the engine load decreases, the sensor output signal increases, and the ECU advances the ignition advance angle to improve the efficiency and performance of the engine.
