Feature
PTC heaters are used to heat solids at a constant temperature. The
suitable heating temperature is 0~300°, the normal temperature
heating temperature is 50~300°, and the applicable ambient
temperature is -40~250°. PTCs with surface temperatures that are
too high or too low are difficult to manufacture, and may even have
no PTC characteristics.
Description
Considering safety and reliability, PTC heaters are generally
safer, more resistant to isolation voltage, smaller and more stable
than traditional heating wires. In some applications, traditional
heating wires cannot pass safety certification, but PTC heaters
can, so PTC can be used in situations with high safety
requirements. However, not all PTC heating element manufacturers
and all PTC heating elements meet safety requirements, so we must
choose PTC heating element manufacturers with good quality to
supply. When PTC is used for solid heating, the main safety and
reliability issues are: first, the PTC ceramic body breaks down and
burns, causing a short circuit and burning the insulation layer;
second, the insulation layer breaks down and leaks electricity,
making the shell charged.
