    Rubber Roller Basis Information

    Biaxially oriented produced polyester film, generally the first machine direction orientation and then transverse direction orientation. The basic process is as follows,

    1. Raw material mix. The main raw material required for the production of BOPP film is Mylar masterbatch slice. Polyester chips, also known as polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyester film masterbatch chips contain silica, titanium dioxide, calcium carbonate and other substances, while you can choose different polyester film masterbatch chips according to the process needs of the production of polyester film. Polyester synthesis is mainly obtained by direct mixing reaction of refined terephthalic acid (PTA) and ethylene glycol (EG), the main atmosphere mixing configuration, the input of additives, esterification, polymerization reaction, solid phase polymerization five steps.

    2. Crystallization and drying. After the polymerization reaction, vacuum, solid phase polymerization of the polyester film slice, must be crystallization and drying process before it can be bidirectional stretching. The main purpose of the crystallization and drying process is to increase the softening point of the polymer so that the particles do not bond to each other and form clumps when they are precipitated during melting. At the same time, the drying process removes the water from the polymer, and the water in the polymer hydrolyzes or creates bubbles during the melting process. In the crystallization and drying process of polyester film slicing, the equipment used is generally a crystallization bed and a dry air preparation device, and the air compressor and dehumidifier are used to dry it.

    3. Melt extrusion. In the production process of polyester film, it must go through the melt extrusion process. The process equipment used in the melt extrusion process generally includes extruders, metering pumps and filters. The role of the extruder is to put the polyester film slices after crystallization and drying pretreatment into the extruder, where the polyester film slices are heated and finally melted and plasticized. The function of the metering pump is to provide a stable pressure throughout the process, so that the melt after melting has enough pressure to overcome the resistance in the flow, and ultimately ensure the uniform thickness of the film produced. The function of the filter is to remove impurities from the melt after melting. In the production process, there may be gel particles, impurities and other foreign bodies in the melt after melting that affect the quality, so it is necessary to filter the melt impurities before and after the metering pump.

    4. Casting system. The casting system is provided in the process of biaxial stretch polyester film production. The casting system consists of a die head, a cold roll and an attachment device for the casting sheet. Die head is the key part of the casting system, affecting the thickness and uniformity of the casting. The temperature of the die head needs to be strictly controlled, and the most suitable temperature range is 275-280 degrees, in which the die head temperature can ensure uniform casting. The cold roll function in the cast sheet system is to cool the molten melt quickly after it flows out of the die head, so that it can cool the glass cast sheet quickly. The function of the attachment device is to ensure the contact between the cast sheet and the cold roll, ensure the cooling effect, prevent the air from leaking into the cold roll rotation in the process, and finally form a complete cast sheet system.

    5. MDO. In the process of BOPP production, the process of machine direction orientaton is processed by rollers, and the principle is to realize machine direction orientation by using the speed difference between rollers. The specific process of the MDO process is that the machine direction orientation machine preheats the thick sheet of the casting machine for stretching. The machine is composed of preheating roller, MDO stretching roller, MDO nip roller, etc. The MDO process engineering generally uses multiple stretching zones for drawing, and the combined stretching methods include low temperature large gap stretching and high temperature small gap stretching.


    6. TDO. The Transverse direction Orientation technology is another important process in the production ofBOPP film. The TDO process is mainly completed by the TDO machine, and its structure is generally more complex. The machine generally has oven, clamp, chain, guide rail, lubrication system and other structures. Both sides of theTDO machine are equipped with a clip rotary chain, and the hot air circulation system is used to heat and preheat the film. After stretching, buffering, shaping, cooling and other production processes, the TDO process of polyester film is realized.
