Biaxial Plastic Geogrid Introduction
Biaxial plastic geogrid is a new type of geosynthetics, which is
mainly used for soil reinforcement in civil engineering.
It has the advantages of light weight, high strength, low
elongation, acid and alkali resistance, not easy to rot and so on.
From the economic, technical and other aspects, it is superior to
metal, natural stone and other traditional reinforcement materials.
At present, geogrid is the main reinforced geosynthetics used in
reinforcement engineering in China, so its mechanical shape and
working condition with soil have become one of the research
hotspots.

Biaxial Plastic Geogrid features

Biaxial Plastic Geogrid Application
1. Soft foundation reinforcement
The plastic geogrid can be used to reinforce the miscellaneous fill
and fill foundation whose bearing capacity and settlement can not
meet the requirements of buildings. The bearing capacity of plastic
geogrid reinforced soil cushion can reach 200-400kpa, which can
fully meet the requirements of general buildings or construction
machines. When it is used for soft foundation reinforcement, the
plastic geogrid reinforced cushion is generally arranged on the
surface of the foundation or in the shallow area. Combined with the
sand cushion, it can strengthen the foundation and reduce the
differential settlement of the road base.
2. Pavement treatment
The plastic geogrid can effectively distribute the load to the
wider subbase, so the thickness of the base can be reduced by 50%,
and the service life can be extended by three times. The plastic
geogrid can also improve the ability of the base to bear the
reciprocating load, and reduce the pumping effect of the
reciprocating load on the base and the bottom. The plastic geogrid
used to reinforce highway pavement should be laid in the lower part
of surface course or base course.
