What is Slide Switch
A slide switch is an electromechanical device used to control the
flow of current in a circuit path. The slide switch use a slider
that moves (slides) from the open (off) position to the closed (on)
position.The series of devices are driven by sliding mechanical
switches. These characteristics include circuit, contact timing,
switching function, current rating, voltage rating (AC or DC), and
actuator type.
Application of Slide Switch
Sliding switches are most suitable for controlling current in small
projects. Slide switches come in many terminal types, including
feeders, leads, welded terminals, screw terminals, quick-connect or
blade terminals, surface mount technology, and panel mount
switches.
