Performance characteristics of sleeve compensator:
1. Packed sealed sleeve compensator is a kind of contact seal,
which is filled with elastic sealing material between the outer
sleeve and the core tube. After the packing is compressed by axial
force, it can cling to the surface of the core tube. It uses the
elastic deformation of the sealing material to compensate the wear
of the sealing surface and prevent the leakage of the medium. At
present, it is developed from a single packing to a combination
use, such as hard packing placed in the deep part and soft packing
near the gland; Or put sealing oil in the middle of hard and soft
packing. In case of leakage, fill oil to stop leakage.
2. The mechanical seal sleeve compensator is a device to prevent
fluid leakage by at least one pair of end faces perpendicular to
the rotating shaft, under the effect of fluid pressure and external
elastic force of the compensation mechanism, keeping close to and
sliding relative to the other end face. It is characterized by high
requirements for shape and position tolerance and fitting accuracy,
no leakage, and avoiding frequent damage caused by leakage of the
old compensator in the past.
Operating environment of sleeve compensator:
1. Surface thermal spraying shall be used for conditions with high
corrosion degree of environmental medium.
2. Surface chrome plating shall be used when the environment medium
is moderately corrosive and the service temperature is higher than
120 ℃.
3. Surface galvanizing shall be adopted for conditions with low
corrosion degree of environmental medium and service temperature
lower than 120 ℃.
Use and maintenance of sleeve compensator:
1. During pipeline operation, the sliding sleeve of the compensator
shall not be subject to external lateral thrust. It shall always be
concentric with the pipeline axial direction and avoid the
situation that hinders the normal sliding of the sliding sleeve.
2. During maintenance, check the condition of the sealing device
and tighten the bolts in time to ensure that there is no leakage of
the seal.
3. When the surface of the sliding sleeve of the compensator is
seriously corroded and the anti-leakage effect is not obvious after
tightening the bolts, the compensator should be replaced.
