IEC 62368-1 Annex R Computer Controlled Restricted Short-Circuit
Test Machine

This restricted short-circuit test machine is required by
IEC62368-1:2018 clause 5.6.4.1&5.6.5.1, Annex R.
The restricted short circuit test device is used to test the
protective grounding conductor and current protection circuit
breaker 1500A. The purpose of this test machine is to verify that
the protective connecting conductor used in the circuit protected
by the device with a rated value not exceeding 25A is compatible
with the fault current allowed by the overcurrent protection
device, and to test the integrity of additional safety protection
through such tests.
Test samples: audio, video, information and communication
technology equipment.
Test principle:
The restricted short circuit test machine uses the energy storage
device to realize the instantaneous high current test. The
discharge time and initial voltage can be set. After the discharge
is completed, it will automatically charge for the next round of
test. During the test, the discharge current will be recorded to
generate the current time curve.

7. If the upper limit of the set output current is exceeded, the
motor will automatically return to zero and give an audible and
visual alarm.

multiple anti-interference means, adapt to harsh electromagnetic
environment.
9. It can be equipped with door interlock alarm, opening voltage
verification interface, etc.
