Liquid Lock Hydrophobic Priming Filter Cap for IV Tubing sets

Priming filter cap, also called prime stop cap, is used to cover the distal end of IV lines which is otherwise open and unprotected when not attached to a catheter or a needle. It is a special IV tubing cap incorporated with hydrophobic membrane which prevents fluid leakage and protects the tubing and IV solution against contamination.

Priming filter caps are primarily air-venting caps. They allow the passage of the air entrapped in the intravenous tubing, meanwhile isolate the intravenous fluid from the outside environment and prevent the entry of vicious micro-organisms and contaminants through the open distal end of the intravenous line, and thus help to minimize the risk of infections.
