The pressure sensor using the silicon piezoresistive principle is a
precision silicon resistance strain bridge made by vacuum diffusing
semiconductor on a silicon substrate. There is a layer of stainless
steel corrugated sheet between it and the measured medium, and the
intermediary liquid - silicone oil is filled between the strain
bridge and the stainless steel corrugated sheet. When the pressure
P acts on the corrugated sheet and is transmitted to the strain
bridge through the intermediate liquid, the change of the bridge
resistance makes the bridge unbalance and outputs a series of
voltage signals proportional to the pressure P. Through signal
amplification, the circuit is converted into standard electronic
signal output.
