Description

Chrome steel is chrome alloy carbon steel, not chrome steel. These balls are highly polished, with high precision and excellent surface finish. These balls are not magnetized and they will not be attracted to each other.

Metal balls are spherical rolling elements that provide rotary or linear motion for ball valves, check valves, bearings and other mechanical equipment. They are usually made of alloy steel, carbon steel or stainless steel. The characteristics of the metal ball are the outer diameter, allowable deviation, surface roughness and tolerance. The outer diameter (OD) is the total width or average diameter of the ball. The allowable deviation refers to the maximum radial distance between the sphere surrounding the surface of the metal ball and any point on the surface of the sphere in the radial plane.

For example, Austenitic varieties have greater corrosion resistance and can be more easily formed thanks to the presence of concentrations of chromium and nickel. Ferritic steel balls are resistant to cracking and are extremely ductile, making them especially suitable for use in automotive settings.

Nitronic precision steel balls are often favored in the aerospace industry due to their resistance to galling, and Martensitic balls are heat treated to give them exceptional strength.

The chromium steel ball has precise geometry and excellent surface finish, making it particularly suitable for hub bearings, linear bearings, wind turbine bearings, slewing bearings and many other applications.

Although these chrome steel balls have good rust resistance, it is recommended to wipe them clean with a dry cloth and apply a layer of oil after use to make them have better rust resistance, thereby prolonging the service life and providing higher quality and durability, reducing replacement and maintenance costs.
