The Installation of 1/2'' inch 2/2 Way Solenoid Valve 2W160-15 :

1.Before using the solenoid valve for water, pay attention to the product label and read the instruction manual carefully to judge whether the product meets the conditions of use.
2.There is an arrow indicating the direction of flow on the stainless valve body.
3.An inline filter is recommended to keep debris from impeding on the flow and seal.
4.The coil is 220 Volts AC with a tolerance of +/- 10% making it perfect for 220 Volt AC power systems.

Pilot Diaphragm Solenoid Valve

Pilot solenoid valves use the differential pressure of the medium over the valve ports to open and close. Also known as servo-assisted solenoids, these valves provide high flow rates and can operate at higher pressure and temperature ranges, with lower power consumption. A servo-assisted, diaphragm solenoid valve with pilot control employs the use of a small chamber directly above the diaphragm to assist in the operation of the valve. Process fluid is allowed to enter the chamber through a small orifice in the inlet port, and in a normally closed valve, compresses against the diaphragm and forces is against the seat to maintain the closing seal.

when the valve receives an electrical signal, a magnetic field is formed which attracts the plunger covering the pilot orifice to lift off, causing system pressure (holding the diaphragm/piston closed) to drop.

As system pressure on the top of the diaphragm/piston is reduced, full system pressure on the other side of the diaphragm/piston acts to lift the diaphragm/piston away from the main orifice, which allows media flow through the valve.

Since the bleed orifice is dimensionally smaller than the pilot orifice, the system pressure can t rebuild on the top of the diaphragm/piston as long as the pilot orifice remains open.
