Specification
The L-Bolt anchor bolts are used to attach sill plates to concrete
or masonry foundations, provide
anchorage for light weight post bases and for general anchorage to
concrete. The L-Bolt anchor bolts
meet the prescriptive requirements of article 9.23.6 of the
National Building Code of Canada 2015 .
L Bolts Anchor bolts are commonly used in the construction and
engineering industries to attach objects or structures to concrete. L-Shaped Anchor Bolts (masonry anchors) vary in shape, size and
material, depending on the specific application, however they all
consist of a threaded end where a nut and washer can be attached
for the external load.

Product application
L-Shaped anchor bolts are embedded in concrete and used to support
structural steel columns, light poles, highway signs, heavy
equipment, and many other applications. The hook portion of the anchor bolt serves to create resistance so
that the bolt does not pull out of the concrete foundation when
force is applied.
The basic specification covering foundation anchor bolts is ASTM
F1554 which covers anchor bolts designed to anchor structural
supports to concrete foundations. These anchor bolts can be headed bolts, straight rods, or bent
anchor bolts. The three grades 36, 55, and 105 designate the minimum yield
strength of the anchor bolt.
