RTTS Circulating Valve 7-7 5/8” 10Kpsi For Drill Stem Testing Service

The RTTS circulating valve is a locked-open/locked-closed valve that serves as both a circulating valve and bypass. The RTTS Circulating Valve is used in drill stem testing string with RTTS packer. The clearance between the RTTS packer (or any hookwall packer) and the casing ID is relatively small. To reduce the effect of fluid-swabbing action when the tool is run in or pulled out of the hole, a packer bypass is generally used.

Operation of RTTS Circulating Valve

The RTTS circulating valve is automatically locked in the closed position when the packer is set. During testing and squeezing operations, the lock helps prevent the valve from being pumped open. A straight J-lot in the locked-open position can be used with the straight J-slot (optional) in the packer body. This combination eliminates the need to turn the tubing to close the circulating valve or reset the packer after the tubing has been displaced with cement.

1. When running each pressure test, you must increase pressure gradually. When the pressure is up to 20MPa, hold on for one minute, then every 10MPa keep it for one minute until the rating pressure;

2. During doing the pressure test, the tool should be placed in the test pit and cover the protecting board on the pressure test plug.

3.During the whole process, make sure the entire test operator keep away from plug and joint which may lapse.

4.Test area should set isolation, others except operator not allowed to enter test area.

5.If there is anybody in the test area, it should set isolation, avoiding test production fly off the test area.
