UL1581 Wire and Cable Flame Test Chamber is used to test the flame retardant performance of insulation layer
under abnormal conditions such as overheat and overcurrent.This
sect will be manufactured strictly according to UL1581 sect
1080.1~1080.14 and approved by Guangzhou MEIhua UL Co., LTD., which
fully meets the VW-1 Flame Test standard and is applicable to FT-1 and FT-2 of
UL1581.The equipment has beautiful appearance, reasonable internal
structure, simple and fast operation, accurate test. It is widely
used by wire and cable manufacturers, colleges ,universities and commodity inspection departments.
The equipment is composed of test part and control part and adopts
integrated design, which is convenient for field installation and
commissioning.The control system is highly automated and has the
function of automatic ignition.Real-time display of temperature and
time, convenient observation and recording, stable and reliable
use.
The back of the chamber body is equipped with a strong exhaust air exhaust system. After
the test is completed, it is opened at the same time with air
supply system to discharge waste gas to outside in time. The front
of the chamber body is equipped with sealed toughened glass window and operation
window, which is convenient for the observation of test process and
operation of experimenter.

Test instructions:
1.Sample preparation for FT1 combustion test:
One sample, about 455mm long, is taken from the finished wire and
cable or flexible cord.
2. Operation method of FT1 combustion test:
2.1. Prepare samples and handle them according to the relevant
provisions in the above "Sample Preparation".
2.2 Open the door of test chamber, clamp both ends of sample into
the upper and lower fixtures respectively and fix them.Move the
flame spread limit indicator and flame spread start indicator to
the appropriate position.Access gas, access air.
2.3 Power on and turn on the power switch.Turn on "Light" on the
touch screen and turn on lighting.Press the "Move fire NOZZLE" on
touch screen. Tilt the nozzle 70° and place it (as shown below).
Then install a flame nozzle (Long:40mm). Move the nozzle assembly
appropriately and compare it to nozzle to determine the nozzle's
test position.(Note: Once the position of blowtorch is determined,
it does not need to be adjusted)
2.4 After the nozzle is adjusted, remove flame nozzle and press the
"Move fire NOZZLE" on touch screen. Place the nozzle perpendicular
to 90°.
2.5. Rotate the igniter so that it is above flame nozzle.Press the “Ignite” on touch screen and Ignite the spout.Adjust the gas flow rate, gas pressure and
blowtorch fine-tuning valve on panel. Measure and adjust the flame height with flame gauge 125mm
blue internal flame 40mm.
2.6 Press the "Start" button on touch screen to start test.
2.7. The nozzle will be automatically tilted 70° to apply flame to
sample for 15 seconds, and then tilted back to vertical position
for 15 seconds.Do this five times.
2.8 After the 5th casting, observe the afterglow, and press the
"Stop" button when the afterglow stops.
2.9. Open the "Fan" and "Air Inlet" on touch screen means to open
the air inlet, smoke exhaust and air inlet holes at both sides of chamber.The test is over.
