The NT series 8320G176 three-way direct action solenoid valve is
mainly used as a class 1E safety related pilot operator on the
larger control valves of nuclear power plants.

ASCO type 8320 series 3/2 way solenoid valve selection essentials:
ASCO type 3-way solenoid valve selection should first of all follow
the principles of safety, reliability, applicability, economy,
followed by six aspects of field conditions (namely pipeline
parameters, fluid parameters, pressure parameters, electrical
parameters, action mode, special requirements).
Selection basis:
1. Select the size specification (DN) and interface mode of the
solenoid valve according to the pipeline parameters
1) Determine the size of size (DN) according to the internal
diameter or flow requirements of the on-site pipeline.
2) Interface mode: generally, >DN50 should choose flange
interface; if ≤DN50, users can choose freely according to their
needs.
2. According to fluid parameters to select the solenoid valve:
material, temperature group
1) corrosive fluid: corrosion resistant solenoid valve and all
stainless steel should be selected; Edible super clean fluid:
should choose food grade stainless steel material solenoid valve.
2) high temperature fluid: to choose the use of high temperature
electrical materials and sealing materials made of solenoid valve,
and to choose the type of piston structure.
3) fluid state: gas, liquid or mixed state, especially when the
diameter is larger than DN25 must be distinguished.
4) fluid viscosity: usually in the 50cSt below any choice, if more
than this value, choose high viscosity solenoid valve.
