Product introduction
Polyimide tape ,commonly known as high temperature tape and gold
finger tape, is made of polyimide film coated by pressure sensitive
adhesive. Polyimide tape is divided as PI silicone tape and PI
acrylic tape by the type of adhesive. In general PI tape is in
black and tawny colors.
Product features
With the backing of soft polyimide film, PI tape is excellent in
electrical insulation and heat resistance. Generally, the polyimide
film
can withstand temperatures above 400 ℃. If coated with silicone
pressure sensitive adhesive, the overall tape temperature
resistance is up to 280 ℃.When coated with acrylic pressure
sensitive adhesive, the tape is characterized in excellent
viscosity and weatherability.
Product application
PI silicone tape is mainly used in resisting high temperature or
applications that require high initial adhesion, such as H class
motor and wrapping transformer coil insulation, fixing the ends of
heat-resistance coil, the protection of thermal resistance,
capacitors and wire tangles, bonding insulation under high
temperature, temperature resistance protection of gold finger PCB
board and electronic components during SMT and external wrapping of
polymer lithium batteries. PI acrylic tape is often used for PCB
board insulation, fixing and binding up the wiring harness ,
wrapping within the transformer coil layer and the outer layer as
well as lithium batteries external insulation.
