Background introduction
The vast majority of heavy-duty escalators use the step chain
design of roller outside link. These kinds of escalator products
are mostly used in places with high rise and heavy passenger flow,
such as subways, transportation hubs and other places. Therefore,
there are strong requirements for the safety and production quality
control, the step chain which is the critical and safety component
in the escalator drive system. After perennial use, if the step
chain has worn out and reached its design service life, it must be
replaced timely and propertly.

Chain use grease for lubrication
The step chain is connected to its left and right sides by solid
axles and the step chain width is 1000 mm. The solid axels are
fixed with the chain link plate and are not datachable for
transportation.
The step-chain rollers are made of hydrolytic resistant
polyurethane. The eligibility test for step-chain roller
anti-hydrolysis is 250hrs, oil hydrolysis is 250hrs, and life test
run time is 5000hrs.

The step roller hub material is plastic as standard and metal hub

The pitch 135.46 roller outside link step chain is widely used in
heavy-duty escalators and has a step distance of 406.4 mm. It is
suitable for type 510 / 516 / 520 / HD-A / HD-B / HD-C escalators.
