1. Introduction to converter products for metallurgy machine:
A metallurgical furnace with a rotating body used for blowing steel
or matte. Converter body is made of steel plate, cylindrical, lined
with refractory materials, blowing by chemical reaction heat
heating, without external heat source, is the most important
steelmaking equipment, can also be used for copper, nickel
smelting. The bof is divided into alkaline bof (lined with magnesia

divided into bottom blowing, top blowing and side blowing
converter; According to the gas used in blowing, it is divided into
air converter and oxygen converter. Bof steelmaking is mainly made
of liquid pig iron.
Converter steel-making is made of molten iron, scrap steel and
ferroalloy as the main raw materials. Without external energy, the
process of steel-making is completed in converter by the physical
heat of molten iron itself and the heat generated by the chemical
reaction between the components of molten iron. The converter is
divided into acid and alkaline according to the refractory
material, according to the parts of the gas blowing into the
furnace with top blowing, bottom blowing and side blowing;

converter. The bof is the most commonly used steel-making equipment
because of its fast production speed, large output, high output of
single furnace, low cost and less investment. The converter is
mainly used for the production of carbon steel, alloy steel and
copper and nickel smelting.
2. Main features of converter for metallurgy machine:
By the physical heat of the liquid pig iron in the converter and
the heat generated by the chemical reaction between the components
of pig iron (such as carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, etc.)
and the oxygen sent into the furnace, the metal can reach the
composition and temperature required by the steel. The charge is
mainly molten iron and slag-making material (such as lime, quartz,
fluorite, etc.). In order to adjust the temperature, scrap steel
and a small amount of cold pig iron and ore can be added. In the
process of bof steelmaking, the carbon in molten iron at high
temperature and the oxygen blown in form a mixture of carbon
monoxide and a small amount of carbon dioxide, namely bof gas. The
amount of converter gas is not balanced in a smelting process, and
the composition is also changed. Usually, the converter gas
recovered from several smelting processes is input to the gas
storage cabinet after cooling and dust removal, and then
transmitted to the user after mixing.
