40kA Solar DC Surge Arrestor 500Vdc SPD Feature:
• BRPV surge protective device, protect against lightning surge
voltages in solar system (photovoltaic power supply system).
• SPD is designed to limit transient overvoltage of atmospheric
origin and divert current waves to earth, so as to limit the
amplitude of this overvoltage to a value that is not hazardous for
the electrical installation and electric switch gear, control gear
and etc.
• These units must be installed in parallel on the DC networks to
be protected and provide common and different modes protection.
• DC surge protection device is protect against DC power line
system and other equipment from over voltage and instantaneous over
voltage damage.
• Its installed location are recommended at both ends of the DC
power supply line (solar panel side and inverter/converter side),
especially if the line routing is external and long.
• Widely used in Photovoltaic combiner box, power inverter, DC
distribution cabinet etc.

1. Do power off when connect surge protection device to system.
2. Ground wire should be as short, straight and thick as possible
to reduce the influence of distributed inductance on lightning
discharge.
3. No need special maintenance. When the surge protector fails,
power off and change new surge protector module is fine.
