The rechargeable lithium-ion battery used in the display is a smart battery with built-in circuitry that sends battery status information to the display. Battery power lasts at least 4.5 hours (VS2+) without printing (VS2+ only), with NBP measurements taken every 15 minutes. Follow these guidelines:

• If the battery appears damaged or shows signs of leaking, replace it immediately.
• Never use a defective battery in the monitor.
• Do not dispose of batteries in ordinary waste containers.
• Never leave batteries inside the monitor if not in use for an extended period of time.
• Never store batteries with more than 50% charge

Replacement battery

Replace the battery if the following condition occur:

• After refurbishment, if the monitor runs on a fully charged battery for less than an hour before the low battery alarm occurs.
• After readjustment, if the maximum error value does not exceed 2%.
• If the battery is not charged to full capacity after four refurbishment cycles.

Battery Information and Alarms The condition of the battery is reported through messages, technical alarms and error codes.

When the monitor is in standby mode, the information required for battery service will appear if:

• The maximum error value exceeds 8%.
• The full capacity value is half of the design capacity value.

The information area of the Technical Alarm Monitor displays the following battery technical alarms:

• Low Battery - Less than 30% battery charge remaining.
• Very Low Battery Power - Less than 21% battery power remaining.

Warning: Dispose of used batteries in an environmentally responsible manner. Do not put batteries in ordinary waste containers. Check with your hospital administrator for local arrangements.

NOTE Before removing the battery, perform a hard shutdown.

• Perform a hard shutdown and disconnect the power cord from the rear of the monitor.
• If your monitor has a desktop base, remove it by removing the two TorxT20 screws from the bottom of the base.

• Remove the TorxT10 screws from the battery cover on the bottom of the monitor

4.Disconnect the battery cable from the connector and remove the battery from the monitor.

Installing battery

1. Connect the battery cable. Make sure the cable is securely attached to the connector.

2. Insert the battery into the compartment with the cable closest to the case.

3. Replace the battery cover and TorxT10 screws.

4.Confirm that the battery is installed correctly by observing if the charging LED lights up
