Brief Introduction of Geocell Confinement System
Geocell is a kind of geosynthetics widely used in soil
reinforcement and erosion control engineering. Also known as cell
confinement system, it is a three-dimensional structure made of
high-density polyethylene (HDPE) strips. It can expand in the field
to form a honeycomb structure and fill it with sand, soil, rock,
gravel or concrete. It is simple and clear.
Looking back on history, it was very helpful to American soldiers
in wartime. In 1975, US Army Corps of Engineers (U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers) has designed a cell restriction system for building
tactical roads on soft ground, so that heavy machinery such as
tanks and cruise missiles can easily pass through muddy roads. Now,
the keywords linked to the product are more like geocell lane,
geocell ground grid, geocell ground grid and geocell technology.

Laying method
Construction precautions.
① The maximum strength direction of the grid shall be consistent
with the direction bearing the maximum stress.
② Direct driving of heavy vehicles on the laid geogrid shall be
avoided.
③ The cutting and stitching amount of geogrid shall be minimized to
avoid waste.
④ During construction in cold seasons, the geogrid becomes hard and
easy to cut hands and rub knees.
