Internal Forced Short Circuit Tester is designed according to the JIS C 8714:2007 and IEC62133 standard to simulate the forced short circuit under the predetermined environmental conditions. The stainless steel testing box can provide great temperature uniformity.

Test Method:

The nickel piece of the battery is pressed at the speed of 0.1mm/s and the voltage change is collected by the collecting system (100 times per second) at the same time. The pressure would stop increasing and hold on for 30 seconds before release pressure when the output voltage decrease is more than 50mV or the predetermined pressure is achieved (800N for cylindrical battery and 400N for square battery).

Control System:

PLC touch screen operation and the voltage sampling frequency can be 100 times per second. Also the pressure stay time, measured pressure, temperature and speed can also be shown on the screen.
