Pallet Racks Drive In
Description:
1. There are 3 types of drive in racking:
Single sided drive in racking: goods loaded and offloaded from one
side with only 1 aisle
Double sided drive in racking: goods loaded and offloaded from both
sides with 2 aisles
Drive through racking: forklifts going through each tunnel /
channel to handle the pallets with goods.
2. The difference between the single sided and double sided drive
in racking is the entry / exit location. Singled sided means that
there’s only 1 aisle for loading and offloading the pallets with
only 1 entry / exit location. Double sided drive in rack system is
with 2 entry / exit locations. Pallets can be loaded and offloaded
from both sides, but pallets with goods still should be put in
first and taken out last (FILO) for both singled sided and double
sided drive in racking system.
