The low-temperature impact tester is a temperature at which the
sample is damaged by impact under the specified conditions, that
is, the brittleness temperature, and the performance of the plastic
and other elastic materials under low temperature conditions can be
comparatively identified. It can measure the brittleness
temperature and low temperature performance of vulcanized rubber of
different rubber materials or different formulations. Therefore, it
is indispensable in the quality inspection of scientific research
materials and their products, and the control of production
processes. The instrument is designed according to GB1682 national
standard. The technical indicators meet the requirements of HG
2-162-1965 plastic low temperature impact compression test method
and GB5470-2008 plastic impact embrittlement temperature test
method.

Lifting clamp
The lift gripper consists of a cylinder with a gripper and a
cylinder block.
The distance from the impact portion of the sample to the lower end
of the holder was 11.0 ± 0.5 mm.

The impact device consists of an impactor and an impact cylinder.
3. Impactor
The shape and size of the impactor head are shown as objects. The
impactor has a weight of 200 ± 20 g and a working stroke of 40 ± 1
mm. When the impact cylinder is in the reset state, the distance
from the end of the impactor to the sample is 25±1 mm.

1. Turn on the power and the temperature controller and timer
display lights.
2. Inject cold medium (usually industrial ethanol) into the cold
well, and the injection amount should ensure that the distance from
the lower end of the holder to the liquid surface is 75±10mm.
3. Hold the specimen vertically on the holder. The clip should not
be too tight or too loose to prevent the sample from deforming or
falling off.
4. After reaching the test temperature, press the start button, the
test machine will work automatically (press the gripper, start
freezing the sample, start the timing control switch or press the
stopwatch. The sample freezing time is specified as 3.0±0.5min.
During the freezing of the sample, the temperature fluctuation of
the freezing medium shall not exceed ±1 °C)
5. Remove the sample, bend the sample to 180° in the direction of
impact, and carefully observe for damage.
6. After the sample is impacted (only one impact per sample), if
there is damage, the temperature of the freezing medium should be
increased, otherwise the temperature will be lowered and the test
will continue.
