Linear flexible anodes were designed for the cathodic protection of
pipelines,tanks
The flexible anode is also known as a cable anode. The anode is
also a conductive polymer, wrapped on a copper core wire, and then
subjected to a series of special processes to make it have heat and
aging resistance, and its working life can be More than 40 years.
Due to its special structure, its longitudinal resistance is low,
and it can transmit current to a long distance. The lateral
resistance is high, so that the current in the copper core can only
slowly "drop" into the ground. Filling coke around it improves the
working environment of the anode and enables it to extend its life.
For the new tank, the flexible anode can be evenly distributed in a
serpentine shape under the tank base. The flexible anode is
directly laid on the bottom of the tank, and the lead joint is
placed outside the tank foundation, which can facilitate the
maintenance of the anode because the anode is most faulty. That is,
the joint is broken. The system has the characteristics of uniform
current distribution and less corrosion interference.
In the old tank area, the flexible anode cathodic protection of the
pipe network connected to the tank body can save the trouble of
electrical insulation.

Linear flexible anodes were designed for the cathodic protection of
pipelines,tanks(AST or Mounded LPG Storage bullets) in soil or sand
and reinforced concrete structures.
Linear flexbile anode designed for close by cathodic protection in
HDD applications.
This system is considered the ideal solution when the anode has to
be installed very close to the strcuture to protect in confined
spaces.
