For many years, the transportation industry has searched for a
reliable shift system which is able to replace the
maintenance-prone and cumbersome rod linkages which are commonly
used in rear engine buses and in cab over trucks. This need has
increased, resulting in vehicles which have become more refined.
These include the complexities of floating cabs, specialty vehicles
of every type and curb noise restrictions.
A systems approach has been developed which makes remote shifting
easier for both the operator and the vehicle builder. The system
offers a maintenance-free and cost-effective approach to remote
manual transmission shifting which has been based on the proven
performance and quality of low friction control cables.
