Product Description
Compared to cobalt alloys and high nickel materials, Nitronic60 is
a low cost wear and abrasion resistant material. Its corrosion
resistance is better than 304 stainless steel, chloride chloride
resistance is better than 316 stainless steel, room temperature
yield strength is 304 and 316 twice. At the same time Nitronic60
has a good high temperature oxidation resistance and low
temperature impact resistance.
Application
Thanks to the excellent wear and abrasion resistance of the
Nitronic 60 at room temperature and temperature, it is widely used
in stem, seat, spool, nut, bolt, screen, chain drive, latch,
gasket, rolling bearing, pump zero Components, including wear rings
and rotors.

Corrosion resistance
Nitronic60 corrosion resistance between 304 and 316, but the
practice has proved that in a friction system, the first appeared
in the abrasion wear, resulting in dimensional changes, and then
corrosion. So the design engineer is the primary consideration is
the wear and tear. Although the Nitronic 60 is less resistant to
corrosion than 316, Nitronic 60 has better resistance to chloride
pitting, stress corrosion cracking and pore corrosion under
laboratory conditions.
Processing performance
Due to the metallographic characteristics of Nitronic 60, the
material is not easy to process. It is recommended to use coated
carbide inserts. Nitronic60's turning speed is about half of the
304 material.
