What is Beta Caryophyllene?
β-Caryophyllene is a natural bicyclic sesquiterpene compound widely
found in various aromatic plants such as clove, black pepper,
rosemary, cinnamon, and lavender. It is usually a colorless to pale
yellow oily liquid with a mild clove-like aroma and is insoluble in
water.

β-Caryophyllene is naturally found in many plant essential oils
(such as clove oil and cinnamon oil). Due to its delicate clove
aroma, it is often used in fragrance formulations in food,
cosmetics, and the production of fragrance imitations and
fixatives.
Medicinal value: β-Caryophyllene possesses local anesthetic and analgesic
properties. Its derivatives (such as β-caryophyllene oxide) can
enhance analgesic effects and provide gastric protection when used
in combination with analgesics. It shows potential in regulating
neuroinflammation and may help prevent or treat neuroinflammatory
diseases such as Parkinson's disease.
Insect repellent effect: β-Caryophyllene has insect-repelling properties and is considered
