What is Tremella Fuciformis Extract polysaccharide?
Tremellam polysaccharide (Tremellam) is an acidic
heteropolysaccharide obtained from the fruiting bodies of Tremella
fuciformis Berk. Its main chain structure is composed of mannans
linked by α-(1→3) glycosidic bonds, with side chains composed of
glucuronic acid and xylose. The acidic heteropolysaccharide found
in the spores of Tremella fuciformis during deep fermentation has a
similar main chain structure to the above, differing only in the
side chains.
It is a basidiomycete polysaccharide immunopotentiator that
improves immune function and increases white blood cell count. It
can significantly enhance the phagocytic function of
reticuloendothelial cells in experimental animals, promote
nonspecific immunity, and increase immunoglobulin and serum total
complement levels. It can prevent and treat bone marrow suppression
caused by radiation and anti-tumor drugs (such as CTX) and promote
protein synthesis in the liver.
