Description :
Diisooctyl sebacate, abbreviated as 2-EHS, is a colorless or light
yellow liquid at room temperature. It has the characteristics of
being resistant to oxidation, not changing color, non-toxic,
non-irritating, non-allergenic, and good stability. It has good
compatibility with the skin and exhibits excellent thixotropic
properties, spreading properties, and fluidity at skin temperature.
It also has the ability to resist enzymatic decomposition and
antioxidation, and is widely used in cosmetics such as creams,
sunscreens, and massage oils. Octadecanoic acid is also used as an
additive in lubricating oils, a finishing agent for synthetic
fibers, a plasticizer and lubricant for plastics, etc.
