electric arc furnace at high temperatures. The resulting product
has high levels of temperature resistance, strong erosion
resistance, high machinery strength, and thermal stability. It is
an ideal raw material for the manufacture of shaped refractories.
Brown Aluminum Oxide is manufactured by fusing premium raw
materials in a 3500 KVA furnace. This material is designed
specifically for
use in general abrasive applications in bonded abrasive tools,
polishing, and sandblasting grit.
Compared to diamond, boron carbide, and silicon carbide, aluminum
oxide has lower hardness and abrasive capacity. However, it is
still widely used for grinding ferrous materials and finishing
tough and hard materials. It can also be used as high-class
refractory materials.
