    Galvanostatic charge discharge potentiostat CS350M consists of DDS arbitrary function generator, high power high precision potentiostat and galvanostat, EIS/FRA module, dual-channel correlation analyzer, dual-channel high-speed 16bit/high-precision 24bit AD converter and extension interfaces. Max. current is ±2A, potential range is ±10V. EIS frequency range is 10uHz~1MHz. Equipping with galvanostatic charge discharge(GCD), Cyclic Voltammetry(CV), EIS, Potentiostatic Intermittent Titration Technique (PITT), and Galvanostatic Intermittent Titration Technique (GITT) makes it an ideal electrochemical potentiostat in energy and battery field. In addition, galvanostatic charge discharge potentiostat CS350M can also be used for various other electrochemical fields such as corrosion, electrocatalysis, biosensor, electrodeposition, and electroatanalysis etc. The current can be boosted up to 20A/40A with a current booster CS2020B/ CS2040B.

    Galvanostatic charge discharge principle

    The technique galvanostatic charge discharge (GCD) tests (also called “Constant Current Charging/Discharging”) is often employed to evaluate energy storage systems and materials, like those involved in electrochemical capacitors. Galvanostatic charge discharge (GCD) involves the application of constant positive and negative currents to charge and discharge a material within a set potential limit(most common) or tie limit. This process is often repeated for multiple cycles. Galvanostatic charge discharge (GCD) profiles are used to evaluate the quality of capacitive response, identify the possible presence of irreversible Faradaic reactions and to derive several key EC figures of merit, such as capacitance, capacity, energy and power.
