Passive Intake Screen
Product Description
Intake screen is designed for water extraction from reservoirs and
rivers for use as drinking water, desalination plants, and other
industrial uses. The raw water goes through the two cylindrical
screens which leave the solids elements against the perforation or
wedge wire. An integrated air purging system takes place inside in
order to expulse the clogged solids with bubbles.They retain larger
particles and water life floating in the river and protect pumps
and installations further up the production line. The controlled
lower slot velocity along the screen surface also reduces the
likeihood of impingement and entrainment of marine life.Wedge wire
intake screen also has a ability to be cleaned using an air
backwash system whereby a controlled burst of compressed air is
deployed.Our intake screen have great design flexibility and are
constructed in a wide variety of shapes and sizes and from a
variety of corrosion-resistant alloys. Specific processes and
vessel requirements can be accommodated.

surface is required.
