Description
According to the material, it can generally be divided into:
metallurgical coke carbon additive, calcined coal carbon additive,
petroleum coke carbon additive, graphitized carbon additive,
natural graphite carbon additive, composite material carbon
additive.
Petroleum coke carbon additive Petroleum coke carbon additive is
processed by calcining and purifying petroleum coke. It has a round
particle or polygonal shape in appearance. Its characteristics are
high carbon, low sulfur and low ash. It is an ideal carbon addition
material and reaction intermediate in industries such as
metallurgy, chemical engineering, machinery and power, and is
widely used.
Metallurgical coke carbon additive, which is usually the large coke
used in cupola furnaces. In addition to melting, its function is
also to increase carbon for metal charge.
Calcined coal carbon additive, mainly produced in Shizuishan,
Ningxia and Wuhai, Inner Mongolia. The composition is generally C:
90-93%, S0.3-0.5%. It is mainly used by steelmaking enterprises,
and some foundry enterprises are used for gray iron castings. The
disadvantages are low carbon content, slow melting, waste of
electric energy and large residual amount.
