Hastelloy C276 with a high nickel contents, is immune to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking. The high molybdenum and chromium contents allow the alloy to perform in oxidising, non-oxidising and mixed acids media, whilst exhibiting outstanding resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion attack.
Hastelloy C-22 is a most versatile nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy with improved resistance to both uniform and localized corrosion as well to a wide variety of mixed industrial chemicals.

In addition, C-276 and C-22 alloy flanges have some common characteristics, especially in terms of corrosion resistance:

• Excellent corrosion resistance: Both alloy flanges have extremely high corrosion resistance and can resist erosion by a variety of chemical media, including chloride, chloride salt solutions, sulfuric acid and oxidizing salts.
