What is Casting Cap?
Casting caps come in various shapes, such as hexagonal and
circular. They are threaded pipe fittings designed to be screwed
onto the external threads at the ends of pipes or pipe joints to
achieve a sealed connection. Compared to permanently welded pipe
caps, threaded pipe caps offer greater flexibility and can be
removed when it is necessary to reopen the pipe for maintenance or
expansion.
What is BSPT Threaded Connection
This pipe cap is connected using BSPT (British Standard Pipe Cone
Thread). As a cone thread with a tooth profile angle of 55°, it
mainly relies on the interference fit of the thread itself to form
a seal during tightening, and is a very effective sealing form in
applications such as pipeline sealing. BSPT is a universal thread

Material Properties of CF8M/316

the wax mold to melt and flow out. Next, pour the melted stainless
steel into the hollow shell. After the molten steel cools and
solidifies, the shell can be crushed to obtain high-precision pipe
blanks, which are then processed through machining, tapping, and
other processes to become the final product.
