Product description
The screw conveyor is a continuous conveying equipment that uses
the rotating screw blade to push materials forward along the
trough. It is widely used in industries such as grain, mining,
building materials, and chemicals. Its structure mainly consists of
screw blades, trough, drive device and bearings, etc. It features a
simple structure, small cross-sectional size, good sealing,
convenient operation and easy maintenance. It can convey materials
in horizontal, inclined or vertical directions, and is especially
suitable for conveying powdery, granular or small block materials.
However, it is less suitable for materials with high viscosity and
easy to form lumps.
Working principle
When the drive unit rotates the screw shaft (and the helical blades
on it), the helical blades will exert an axial thrust on the
material in the trough. Due to the material's own gravity and the
friction between the material and the inner wall of the trough, the
material will not rotate along with the helical blades. Instead, it
will move axially along the trough's axis (horizontal, inclined or
vertical) under the continuous pushing of the helical blades, and
eventually be discharged from the outlet, thus completing the
continuous conveying of the material.
In simple terms, its core principle is to convert mechanical energy
into the axial kinetic energy of materials through the rotational
movement of the spiral blades, thereby achieving the directional
transportation of materials. This principle makes the screw
conveyor particularly suitable for the transportation of bulk
materials such as powder and granules. However, for materials with
high viscosity or prone to clumping, the insufficient interaction
force between the blades and the materials may affect the
transportation efficiency.

It mainly consists of spiral blades, material troughs, driving
devices, etc. With few components, the manufacturing and
installation are relatively easy, and the initial investment and
maintenance costs are relatively low.

The material is transported in a closed material trough, which can
effectively reduce dust flying and material leakage. It is
especially suitable for transporting materials that are prone to
dust, have odors or are toxic, and is environmentally friendly.
3. Adapt to various conveying directions
It can achieve material transportation in horizontal, inclined and
even vertical directions. The layout is flexible and can meet the
space requirements of different sites.
4. Stable transportation, easy to control
It belongs to a continuous conveying equipment. The material
conveying volume is uniform. The conveying speed and output can be
conveniently controlled by adjusting the rotational speed of the
spiral blade, and it is easy to link with other production
equipment (such as crushers, screening machines) to form an
automated production line.
5. Small floor area, high space utilization rate
The cross-sectional size is small, and it can be installed in
narrow spaces. It is especially suitable for scenarios with limited
space such as workshops and warehouses.
