Product Description:
The prepackaged magnesium anode is comprised of a cast magnesium
anode encased in a cloth bag filled with a highly hygroscopic
mixture. This backfill contains a blend of 75% gypsum, 20%
bentonite, and 5% sodium sulfate. Subsequently, the assembly is
carefully wrapped in a plastic or paper outer covering for
transportation purposes, but this outer layer must be removed prior
to installation.
Utilizing this depolarizing backfill during the pre-packaging
process can significantly improve the efficiency of the anode. The
specialized mixture helps reduce the resistance between the anode
and the soil, facilitating smoother flow of electrical current to
the intended structure.

secured using epoxy resin. Engineered to meet the demanding
requirements of fast-paced construction projects while ensuring
high efficiency, these prepackaged magnesium anodes are commonly

surpassing 2,000 ohm-cm. To optimize their performance, the anodes
come pre-packaged in a specifically designed backfill material.
This backfill serves to reduce the anode-to-soil resistance,
thereby facilitating the flow of current to the intended structure.

Environment-friendly Backfill
The added backfill helps to decrease the electrical resistance of
the anode to the ground as well as retain moisture which allows for
better efficiency and homogeneous consumption of the anode, thus
creating an efficient anode bed. Our backfill is prepared with
naturally degradable and recyclable materials in the following
weight ratio:
- Hydrated Gypsum: 75%
- Bentonite: 20%
- Sodium Sulphate: 5%
The content of harmful elements in the backfill is below the
industrial safety standards, meaning it will not introduce any
pollution to the surrounding environment.

construction and installation quality of the anode ground bed
remain consistent.
Multiple Cable Options
Our standard lead cable is 10ft. AWG #12 Solid THHN/THWN. Other
options include PVC/PVC, XLPE/PVC, HMWPE or TW, which can be
supplied in custom sizes, lengths and colors upon request. The
cable can be connected by direct brazing, mechanical fastening or
welding to ensure high pull strength and low connection resistance.
