The Bosch Rexroth 4WE10H3X/CG24N9K4 (R900597986) is a high-performance directional spool valve designed for controlling the start, stop, and direction of fluid flow within a hydraulic system. This particular model features a housing, one or two wet-pin electronic solenoids, a control spool, and return springs. The solenoids, when energized, act upon the control spool via a plunger to shift it from its rest position to the desired end position, enabling flow direction from P to A and B to T or P to B and A to T. When the electronic solenoid is de-energized, the return spring returns the control spool to its rest position. Additionally, this model includes a manual override that permits manual operation of the valve without solenoid power. The valve's functionality can be further fine-tuned by using throttle inserts in channels P, A, B, or T to increase flow resistance under certain operating conditions. This Bosch Rexroth valve comes without spring return as standard but is also available in versions with detent (OF), which maintains the control spool in position without continuous current application for energy-efficient operation.

However, it is important to note that pressure peaks in tank lines can cause unintended movements of the control spool if valves are equipped with detent; separate return lines or installing a check valve in the tank line may be necessary. The 4WE10H3X/CG24N9K4 offers flexibility with its rotatable high-power solenoid coil that can be rotated by 90 degrees and replaced without opening the pressure-tight chamber. It provides electrical connections either as individual connections or central connections and an optional auxiliary operating device. Designed according to ISO standards for porting patterns, this model supports maximum operating pressures up to 350 bar and maximum flow rates up to 120 l/min. It is part of component series X and X2 which ensures compatibility with contemporary hydraulic systems requiring precise flow direction controls.
