BS EN 13823 Single Burning Items Product Introduction:
The Single Burning Instrument (SBI) is used to evaluate the
performance of building materials (excluding flooring materials)
under conditions of single burn heat attack. The sample is placed
in the flame in a sliding box (methane sandbox burn box), located
below the exhaust pipe. During the combustion process, the reaction
of the sample is monitored both mechanically and visually. The heat
and smoke release rates are measured by the instrument, while the
performance of the material is evaluated by observation.

BS EN 13823 Single Burning Items Features:
Structure:
1. Structural design and control design incorporating ergonomics;
2. The equipment consists of a combustion chamber, a trolley, a
smoke exhaust pipe, a gas supply system, a control system and a
data processing system;
3. Combustion chamber size: 3m X 3m X 2.4 m, the wall is made of
heat-resistant bricks, gypsum boards and calcium silicate boards
Ignition system:
•10kV spark igniter, equipped with safety stop device. The igniter
is automatically positioned by a lever connected to the closing
mechanism
•Imported mass flow meter controls the input flow.
•Equipped with flame failure automatic alarm device, safe and
reliable.
Gas sampling system
•Includes particulate filter, cold trap, suction pump, drying
cartridge, flow controller
Measuring system
• Paramagnetic oxygen analyzer, o2 measurement range 0-25%, linear
deviation <1%.
• Infrared CO2 analyzer co2; measurement range: 0-2/10%, linear
deviation: <±1%.
• Laser system to measure smoke density.
Computer control system:
•Embedded integrated 10.2" touch screen:
Control parameter setting and display; Test status and fault
display and query.
Data collection and storage; Screen monitoring, real-time
temperature curve, real-time CO2/O2 data curve display; Historical
curve and data query;
Data USB export. Historical curve and data query and printing;
The machine can be independently controlled to complete the test.
•With sound alarm and alarm accident display function.
•There is a USB/RS232 serial port on the control box, which can be
connected to a desktop/laptop computer for operation and control.
•Programmable controller (PLC) control system:
Automatic ignition, ignition failure detection protection.
Automatic control and display of propane gas flow.
PLC+frequency converter implements automatic control and display of
exhaust gas flow.
Automatic measurement and calculation of material combustion: heat
release rate (H.R.R), smoke growth index (SPR), oxygen consumption
(O2), CO2 generation.
