Sidestream monitoring is perfect for non-intubated spontaneously breathing patients and for patients who require intubation during short-term sedation or anesthesia. The LoFlo Sidestream EtCO₂ sensor uses a universal expansion server and can be used with the same monitor for a wide range of clinical applications. No calibration is required. The sensor is stable over time and continuously and automatically verifies calibration information.

This sampling line kit is a respironics disposable sampling line kit with Nafion and Dehumidification tubing. It connects to the LoFlo module and terminates with a Male Luer connection. Can be used with any cannula with a Female Luer connection.

The sidestream EtCO₂ sensor is a medical device used to monitor the concentration of carbon dioxide during a patient's breathing. It is mainly used in clinical anesthesia, intensive care, and emergency treatment.

Usage:

1. Intraoperative respiratory management: real-time monitoring of the patient's end-tidal carbon dioxide concentration to ensure normal ventilation and avoid insufficient or excessive ventilation.

2. Endotracheal intubation confirmation: confirm whether the endotracheal tube is in the correct position.

3. Anesthesia depth assessment: combined with other indicators to assess the patient's anesthesia status.

4. Mechanical ventilation monitoring: used to monitor the carbon dioxide discharge of mechanically ventilated patients and adjust ventilator parameters.

5. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR): monitor the effect of chest compressions, and increased EtCO₂ may indicate recovery of spontaneous circulation (ROSC).

6. Transport monitoring: continuous monitoring of ventilation status during patient transport.

7. Alternative blood gas analysis: in some cases, it can reduce the need for frequent blood draws to test arterial blood carbon dioxide (PaCO₂).
