Operating Principle
Frequency conversion electromagnetic induction heating, commonly
known as induction heating, is a method of heating metal materials.
It operates on the principle of electromagnetic induction to
transform the power frequency power supply into one within a
specific range.
This heating technique is mainly suitable for metal hot working,
heat treatment, welding, and melting processes. Moreover, this type
of heating technology also has applications in other fields.
In the packaging industry, it can be used for the sealing of
aluminum foil in the medical and food industries.
In the realm of semiconductor materials, it serves purposes like
extruding monocrystalline silicon and heating to attach metal parts
for automotive glass.
The fundamental components of an induction heating system are the
induction coil, an AC power source, and the workpieces.
The induction coil can be fabricated into diverse shapes according
to the different items to be heated. It is linked to the power
source, which supplies alternating current to the coil.
The alternating current in the coil generates an alternating
magnetic field that passes through the workpieces, thereby
producing the eddy currents required for heating.
