Introduction
The fixed diameter hole opener is made of tough heat-treated alloy
steel for maximum strength. The cutter arm is equipped with a
detachable cutter and is hard-faced welded on the valve body. There
are three types to choose from: SM type is used for soft to medium
formations, MH type is used for medium to hard formations, and XH
type is used for hard formations. The hole opener has three or six
nozzles, which can be replaced, so that the jet can quickly clean
the enlarged hole.
Features
1. Suitable for medium to medium hard formations with high
compression resistance (hard shale, sand body, etc.)
2. The bit bearing is an unsealed roller bearing.
3. The edge of the shirt is welded and the carbide insert is
pressed into the outer diameter of the head.
Advantages
1. Cutting structure
In view of the different cutting characteristics of the inserts in
different parts of the cone, the cone inserts are placed in the
permanent contact area, and the wedge inserts are placed in the
alternating contact area, which greatly improves the drilling
efficiency. The diamond insert is provided in the permanent contact
area of the cone to improve the wear resistance of the cutting
structure, and the insert is worn seriously in this area. Place
tungsten carbide inserts on the top surface of the cone to protect
the cone from abrasion.
2. Bearing structure
High-precision journal bearings. The ball locks the cone. Hard
surface bearing surface. Tapered bearings with friction-reducing
alloys. Improve the wear resistance and bite of the bearing.
Compared with the tri-cone bit, the leg bearing of the tri-cone bit
is larger, which can withstand higher drilling weight and higher
reliability.
