The vane types are the Chevron type of mist eliminators which
consist of a set of specially designed vanes with a well defined
geometry, with closely spaced corrugated plates. They are very
usual and useful internals for liquid separation from gas. These
types according to design and shape can remove the droplets more
than 8 microns.
Hualai has produced a range of mist eliminators for critical
applications in the oil and gas sector, Standard Material of vane
type mist eliminator is polypropylene & stainless steel.
Basically, we can produce and supply two vane height types, 170mm
and 235mm, in both PP and stainless steel material. No problem for
any shape and size.

I have a customer from South East Asia, who is in the vessel repair
and service business. Early this year Mr. K enquired to us for a
kind of vane plate mist eliminator to be used in ventilation system
of vessels. It had limited space for the vessel and nominated gas
flow direction, which was different from our normal intallation
way. I listened to Mr. K carefully and made the draft drawing below
for his checking. I took both the gas flow direction and space into
consideration. Meanwhile I checked with our workers beforehand to
see if they could realize my design with our raw material. After
friendly communication, everything was settled and the order went
into production soon.
Hualai vane plate mist eliminator allows inlet air to turn and pass
between the profiles with minimum restriction. Drops impact the
profile surface where they are collected and drained.

Vane type eliminator is mainly used for flue gas desulfurization
and separation of mist droplets in tail gas. It has the advantages
of simple structure, high capture efficiency for medium size and
large size mist droplets, low pressure drop, easy flushing, open
structure, easy maintenance and low cost.
Removal of very small droplets can be achieved using a two stage
mist eliminator by fitting a mesh pad to the upstream face of the
unit to coalesce droplets as small as 4 to 5 microns into droplets
in the size range which are easily removed by the vane separator.
