carbide grains. Compared to the original 1126, 1126S offers
enhanced durability with up to 15% improved wear resistance, making
it a cost-effective yet high-performance solution for wide belt
sanding needs.

developed WEEM 1126S SIC Y-CLOTH ABRASIVE to meet the demands of
modern manufacturing — providing a precise balance between
performance and affordability.
It is constructed with:
- Premium fast-cut silicon carbide grains
- Resin-over-resin bonding for heat resistance and grain retention
- Closed-coat construction for high cutting density
- Thicker Y-weight waterproof polyester backing for rigidity and
longer life
This product is optimized for sanding MDF, HDF, OSB, chipboard,
plywood, and similar engineered wood panels, while also suitable
for materials like glass, rubber, and plastics.
Silicon carbide (SiC) is a very hard abrasive with a sharp, brittle
crystalline structure. It produces a fine, linear scratch pattern
and excels in precision sanding under light pressure. SiC is ideal
for non-ferrous metals (brass, copper, bronze), as well as
woodworking and finishing applications involving polyurethanes,
lacquers, primers, and sealers.
Closed-coat design increases abrasive grain coverage, allowing more
cutting points per square inch. This results in:
