Product Overview: Slotted Pipe
Slotted pipes are specialized tubular products designed for oil and
gas wells, casing systems, and tubing applications. They are widely
used in the installation of cased tunnels to facilitate the passage
of utilities or obstacles without the need for open excavation.
These pipes are manufactured from high-strength steel with a smooth
wall and a minimum yield strength of 35,000 psi. To enhance
durability, an anti-corrosion water-based coating is applied to the
external surface, providing protection against atmospheric
corrosion during transit and storage.

Slot Variants
We offer laser-cut slots tailored to client specifications,
available in two primary types:
Straight Slots
Perpendicular to the pipe wall, these slots maintain a consistent
width from the inner to the outer surface. Although cost-effective
to manufacture, straight slots offer relatively lower sand
retention performance.
Keystone Slots
Featuring a tapered design, these slots are wider on the inner
surface and narrower externally. This structure prevents particle
clogging by allowing entered sand to flow through easily. While
more costly, keystone slots significantly reduce the risk of
production downtime due to slot blockage.
Slot Layouts
We support a wide range of slot configurations, including inline,
staggered, gang, overlapping, horizontal, and other custom
patterns. The most commonly requested layouts include:
Inline Pattern
Slots are uniformly arranged in aligned rings along the pipe
length, creating continuous straight rows.
Single Staggered Pattern
Slots are grouped in evenly spaced bands around the pipe
circumference, with adjacent bands offset from one another. This
layout maintains structural integrity while ensuring uniform slot
distribution.
Gang Pattern (Multiple Staggered Pattern)
Similar to the single staggered arrangement, but with pairs of
slots positioned closely together at each location. This design
offers superior torque resistance during installation and improved
deformation resistance under thermal cycling, making it especially
suitable for demanding applications such as SAGD.
