This is a large-caliber flange butterfly valve, which is often used
in large-scale fluid transportation pipelines (such as municipal
water supply and drainage, water conservancy projects, sewage
treatment, etc.) to control the on-off and regulation of large-flow

Core components & design logic
Valve body (blue body):
Most of the materials are ductile iron, which has been treated with
anti-corrosion (such as spraying epoxy resin), with high strength
and good corrosion resistance. It is suitable for large diameters
("DN2000", that is, nominal diameter 2 meters), meeting large flow
scenarios such as urban water supply and flood discharge.
Flange connection: The valve body has flanges at both ends, which are fastened to the
pipe flange by bolts. It is easy to install and has strong sealing
performance. It is suitable for long-distance pipeline splicing.
Valve plate (internal disc):
The "switch core" of the large-caliber butterfly valve rotates
around the central axis (0°-90°) to control the on-off/flow of
water flow. Due to the large diameter, the valve plate needs a
high-strength design (such as double-plate type, three-eccentric
structure) to ensure tight sealing when closed and small flow
resistance when opened, reducing energy consumption.
Actuator (black part):
The electric/pneumatic actuator in the picture provides power for
the valve plate to rotate. Large-diameter valves are laborious to
operate manually, while electric/pneumatic drives are more
efficient and can be remotely controlled and automatically adjusted
(for example, in conjunction with the smart water system, they can
automatically switch according to the pressure of the pipe
network).
Application & Value
Scenario: Municipal water supply trunk pipes, sewage treatment plant
effluent discharge, water conservancy hub flood control and
drainage, etc. - For example, urban water transmission trunk lines
use it to adjust the water pressure of the partition, and sewage
treatment plants use it to control the tailwater discharge flow.
Advantages: Large diameter adapts to the needs of the pipe network, and the
flange connection is stable and reliable; the actuator has a high
degree of automation, saves manpower, responds quickly, and ensures
the efficient and safe operation of the urban water system,
avoiding risks such as pipe bursts and waterlogging.
In short, this is the "big housekeeper" of the city's "water
veins", relying on hard-core structure + automatic control to
protect the stable operation of large pipe networks~
